A sports relay race for foreign students “There is strength in unity” took place at VSTU. The event was organized with the support of Leninsky District Administration of Voronezh city and with the participation of the Powerlifting Federation of the Voronezh Region. VSTU team competed with teams from VSAU named after Peter 1 and VSFLTU named after Morozov.
Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Educational Activities Anna Sviridova, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education Evgenia Kiseleva and Chairman of the Powerlifting Federation of the Voronezh Region Alexey Sobolev addressed those present with welcoming remarks.
The teams competed in three disciplines - multi-repeat bench press, overhead discus lift and arm wrestling. According to the results of the relay, the team from VSAU won, the second and third places were taken by teams from VSFLTU and VSTU, respectively. All participants received prizes from event organizers and memorable badges.
